Writes about investing at ZoomOut. Quant portfolio manager, East Green PMS
I write about investing, markets, and money with a systematic lens. Background in quantitative portfolio management. I run a SEBI-registered PMS strategy and think about risk, factor exposure, and behavioural finance every day. Zoom Out is where I distil that thinking for individual investors.
What is Zoom Out
Most financial content in India is built around anxiety. Market crash headlines, FOMO product pushes, and opinions dressed up as analysis. Zoom Out is built on the opposite premise — that good investing is mostly boring, mostly systematic, and mostly about not making bad decisions.
The name says it simply. When markets zoom in on daily noise, we zoom out. Longer timeframes, cleaner data, less panic.
What is it not
Zoom Out is not a tips service. We don’t tell you what to trade. We explain frameworks, share data, and try to make you a more informed investor. What you do with that is your call.
What we cover
Equities · Mutual funds and ETFs · Macroeconomics · Behavioural finance · Portfolio construction · Fixed income · Gold · Global markets
Why now
India has 5-10 cr mutual fund investors and growing. Most of them are making decisions based on fear, recency bias, and market noise. The data to make better decisions exists – but it is being communicated as per vested interests. That’s the gap Zoom Out is trying to close.
How we work
01 — Data before opinion Every claim is backed by a number, a chart, or a source. We don’t publish takes that can’t be grounded in evidence.
02 — Retail-first framing Most of the content is written for the individual investor — not the institution, not the trader, not the analyst.
03 — Short when it can be short Some ideas need 8 minutes. Most need 2. We don’t pad content to look thorough — we cut it to be useful.
